Director Jithu Madhavan, who won the attention of the audience with films such as Romancham and Guppy, is currently on celebratory mode as his recent film Aavesham has become a blockbuster.
Released on April 11, the film is currently the fourth highest-grossing Malayalam film of 2024.
On day 21 the film earned Rs 2.65 crore net, which is better than Rs 8.5 crore and Rs 1.9 crore it earned on Monday and Tuesday.

On day 21, the film has displayed an occupancy of 51 percent. The domestic collections of the film stand at Rs 72 crore net. While the worldwide collection stands at 131 crore.
The film’s popularity is said to soar even higher, as trade analysts predict a steady climb in numbers in the coming weeks. The film’s ability to maintain audience interest and create strong word-of-mouth is likely to propel it further to increase its box office collection.
Nayanthara heaps praise on Aavesham
Taking to her Instagram stories, Nayanthara posted “Aavesham is a cinematic triumph of the decade. Jithu Madhavan has set boundaries for the commercial films to be made in the future. ” She went on to praise Fahadh Faasil, she said “FaFa the superstar, whatta killer performance. Mass. Loved every bit of your loveable performance.” She also tagged Nazriya and said “so proud of you baby”.
She tagged the film’s music composer Sushil Shyam and said “your approach to music for this stellar gangster saga is stellar”.
The actress did not hesitate to review the young actors, “@Roshanshanavas, @Midhunjaisankar, @hipzster, @midhutty, you guys were absolute rock stars of the film.”
Apart from Fahadh Faasil, Aavesham stars Pranav Raj, Mithun Jai Shankar, and Roshan Shanavas, while Midhutty, Sajin Gopu and Mansoor Ali Khan feature in supporting roles.
Directed by Jithu Madhavan, the music has been composed by Sushin Shyam, while the cinematography and editing were handled by Sameer Thahir and Vivek Harshan
