Three young boys are 'kidnapped and dumped on a remote beach'

Three teenagers have been charged after allegedly forcing three younger boys into their car and dumping them in remote bushland.

WA Police said three boys – aged 11, 12 and 14 – had left a house in Erskine, south of Perth, to buy some items from a nearby service station about 10.30pm on Wednesday.

The trio were in a car park on Oakleigh Dr when they were approached by the three older teenagers.

‘It is believed the males thought the boys were attempting to break into their vehicle,’ police said in a statement on Friday.

Police allege they ‘took hold of the three boys and forced them into the vehicle’ then drove to Tims Thicket Beach, which is about 16km away.

‘It will be further alleged the males left the boys in an area of bushland that is fairly remote and only accessible via four-wheel-drive tracks,’ police said.

One of the boys had a mobile phone and called family for help.

A 19-year-old Halls Head man, a 19-year-old Pinjarra man and a 17-year-old Halls Head boy have each been charged with three counts of deprivation of liberty and one count of aggravated common assault.
