‘Apa salah saya’, ketua Umno Alor Setar tak tahu punca digantung

PETALING JAYA: Ketua Umno Bahagian Alor Setar Mohd Yusof Ismail memaklumkan tidak mengetahui punca beliau digantung keahlian selama enam tahun oleh parti itu.

Bagaimanapun, Yusof mengesahkan beliau dimaklumkan secara tidak rasmi mengenai perkara itu oleh beberapa pemimpin Umno malam tadi dan Ketua Umno Kedah, Jamil Khir Baharom yang menghubunginya pagi tadi.

Katanya, sehingga kini tiada makluman rasmi mengenai penggantungannya dibuat ibu pejabat Umno.

“Saya tidak tahu apa kesalahan saya sehingga digantung keahlian Umno, pagi tadi pengerusi badan perhubungan Umno (Jamil) hubungi saya maklumkan soal penggantungan itu.

“Saya sudah dikeluarkan daripada ‘group’ ketua bahagian pagi tadi. Sehingga kini tiada makluman rasmi mengenainya dibuat ibu pejabat Umno kepada saya dan saya belum memikirkan sama ada akan membuat rayuan terhadap keputusan itu,” katanya kepada FMT.

Yusof tidak menolak keputusan penggantungan yang diumumkan dalam mesyuarat Majlis Kerja Tertinggi (MKT) Umno malam tadi adalah kesan tindakannya yang kerap mengkritik presiden Ahmad Zahid Hamidi secara tertutup sebelum ini.

Beliau kesal kerana tindakan ke atasnya dilihat lebih berat berbanding hukuman terhadap bekas ahli MKT Umno, Lokman Noor Adam yang lebih banyak memburukkan pemimpin parti secara terbuka termasuk Perdana Menteri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

“Saya percaya keputusan ini adalah isyarat (tekanan) kepada perdana menteri jika Dewan Rakyat tidak dibubarkan segera, maka dia (Ismail) juga akan digantung seperti saya.

“Saya memang ada kritik presiden, tetapi dibuat hanya dalam kumpulan WhatsApp ketua bahagian Umno secara tertutup. Lokman kritik perdana menteri lebih banyak secara terbuka tetapi hukuman ke atasnya tidak seberat saya.

“Selama ini memang saya dianggap bukan orang presiden, maka sebab itu saya kata ini isyarat kepada perdana menteri untuk PRU15 diadakan segera,” dakwanya.

Mesyuarat MKT malam tadi memecat Ketua Cawangan Umno Projek Perumahan Awam (PPA) Sri Labuan, Zaharin Mohd Yasin kerana didakwa lantang menentang pemimpin parti sendiri.
