Hampshire Police arrested a man on Saturday
A man who was arrested on suspicion of murder after the death of a woman has been released.
The 55-year-old woman died at St Mary’s Hospital in Newport, Isle of Wight, on Thursday 4 April.
Hampshire Police arrested a 51-year-old man on Saturday on suspicion of murder and engaging in controlling or coercive behaviour in an intimate or family relationship.
The force said he had been released on conditional bail for the offence of coercive controlling behaviour, and officers would be taking “no further action in relation to the arrest on suspicion of murder”.
The force said it was continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death.
