A Devon town’s historic pub has thrown back open its doors to the delight of locals. The Cromwell Arms, in Bovey Tracey has been taken on by new owners who have breathed new life into the venue. Not only will punters be able to enjoy great food and drinks, but it also has 14 rooms for visitors to stay.
The Cromwell Arms was originally an old coaching inn where Oliver Cromwell’s troops camped nearby during the Civil War period. Over the years the venue has been expanded and refurbished multiple times and the new owners, alongside St Austell Brewery have authorised more work to give life back to the Inn providing a fresh and clean look whilst maintaining its original features.
The owners say they are overwhelmed by the support and positivity from both old and new customers. The venue also offers a beer garden, a restaurant area and a function room.
