Congratulations and well done to all who took part in the Feile last weekend and to all who traveled to show their support.

Carnew Musical Society
A large contingent of Carnew Musical Society travelled to Killarney for the AIMS Awards night. Congratulations to Graham Finnerty on his Best Male Singer Runner UP Award, to Best Comedienne Runner Up – Maria Forrest and the Society on receiving the Adjudicators Special Award Runner up for – The Best Moment in Theatre for the Male Dance in Luck Be a Lady.
The CMS Members were on hand to celebrate with our neighbouring Musical Society and good friends from Gorey. Congratulations to everyone in Gorey Musical Society on their outstanding achievement in winning Best overall show in the Gilbert Section and to all who won individual awards, for their fantastic production of “West Side Story”.
Split the pot
The lucky winner of the split the pot draw for Scoil Aodan Naofa Carnew was Ellie Mae Fortune, who won €265. Congratulations. Our sellers prize winner was Jake House and Lucy Kennedy the lucky dip. Thank you for your continued support. Our split the draw will be back in September.

Agricultural show

Velocity Cheer & Dance Group
Velocity Cheer & Dance Group hold lessons for 4-12 year olds in Askamore Hall. Boys & Girls. Starting Monday July 3rd at 3.30pm and Thursday July 6th at 3.30pm

Pilates classes take place on a Tuesday night in Colaiste Bhride Carnew and Thursday night in the GAA grounds, to book your place go to Kpilates on Facebook and book your slot.

The Tinahely Craft Market is on every Saturday from 10am to 4pm. It is situated opposite Murphy’s butcher. There is a wide variety of fabulous crafts including up cycled and recycled textiles, stained glass, macrame, jewellery, candles and soap, embroidery and various art works. Sympathy
Sympathy is extended to the family of Mary Parke who died last week. Mary who was predeceased by her niece Liz and nephew Vincent was mourned by nieces Murial, Theresa, and Angela, nephews John and Eamonn and many relatives and friends. Mary’s concelebrated funeral Mass took place in St Nicholas of Myra Church Dunlavin on Thursday June 22nd. May Mary rest in peace.
Annie Ward R.I.P.
The death also took place last week of Annie (Nan) Ward (Nee Whelan), Killinane, Dunlavin. Peacefully in her 105th year in the loving care of the management and staff of Curragh Lawn, Nursing Home. Beloved wife of the late Thomas and mother of the late Kevin, Deeply regretted by her loving son Tommy daughters Elizabeth, Mary and Phil, sister Phylis, daughter-in-law Helen, son-in-law Jim, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, Nephews, relatives and a large circle of friends. Annie’s funeral took place in Crookstown. May she rest in peace.
Coffee Morning
A Coffee Morning in aid of Brain Tumour Ireland will take place in the Dunlavin Parish Centre on Friday July 7th at 11am. A raffle will take place with many prizes. Raffle cards are available in local shops/businesses. .

Daycare Collection – Baltinglass Daycare annual collection will take place on the weekend of June 30th , (outside Centra) and a Church Gate Collection on July 1st and 2nd. Please Support.
Parish Monthly Draw – We will be hosting a monthly Parish draw to raise funds for the Church, with the first draw taking place in September. We are looking for volunteers to sell tickets and tickets are now on sale from the Parish centre at €10 per month. Hollywood GAA Club Lotto draw results for 21st June. The number drawn were 3, 16, 24, 27. There was no winner of the jackpot. The seller’s prizes went to Cathy Corrigan 47.
