Ella Kreuzer led the way for top-seeded Chatham, No. 13 in the NJ.com Top 20, in its 63-26 win over 16th-seeded North Hunterdon in the first round of the North 2, Group 2 Tournament in Chatham.
Addison Barrett added nine points and eight rebounds for Chatham, which led 41-11 at halftime. Mia Semioli scored seven points and dished out six assists in the victory.
Chatham will host eighth-seeded Summit in the quarterfinals.
8-Summit 40, 9-Randolph 24
Charlotte Yarnall paced eighth-seeded Summit with 10 points in its 40-24 win over Randolph in Randolph.
Emily Demm added nine points for Summit, which outscored Randolph 22-9 in the second half to extend a five-point first half lead.
Summit has won four of its past five games and will play at top-seeded Chatham in the quarterfinals.
4-Cranford 33, 13-Gov. Livingston 21
Lily Costello paced fourth-seeded Cranford with 10 points in its 33-21 win over 13th-seeded Gov. Livingston in Cranford.
Courtney Toy added seven points for Cranford, which led 15-8 at halftime and won every quarter of the game.
Cranford had won five of its past six games and will host 12th-seeded West Morris in the quarterfinals.
12-West Morris 47, 5-North Plainfield 32
Zoe Kratochvil starred for 12th-seeded West Morris with 20 points in its 47-32 upset win over fifth-seed North Plainfield in North Plainfield.
Tori Wehmeyer added seven points for West Morris, which outscored North Plainfield 30-15 in the second half to break a 17-17 halftime tie. West Morris has lost three straight games entering the state tournament, but found its groove at the perfect time.
West Morris will play at fourth-seeded Cranford in the quarterfinals.
3-Mendham 64, 14-Ferris 21
Halle Ferrara went off for 20 points for third-seeded Mendham in its 64-21 win over 14th-seeded Ferris in Mendham.
Lia Manuel added 14 points for Mendham in the victory. Mendham had lost three of its previous four games entering the state tournament.
Natalie Fonseca tallied 15 points to lead Ferris.
7-Payne Tech 64, 10-Snyder 35
Kayla Butler had a huge double-double for seventh-seeded Payne Tech with 25 points and 15 rebounds in its 54-35 win over 10th-seeded Snyder in Newark.
Jordan Owens also had a big game with 20 points and six rebounds in the victory. Jessica Harris hauled down 10 rebounds.
6-Warren Hills 63, 11-Nutley 44
