Fabricante do iPhone revela seu carro elétrico rival do Tesla Model Y

Modelo da Foxconn que mistura estilo hatchback e SUV será produzido na China em 2023 e no ano seguinte nos EUA

Conhecida como o fabricante do iPhone, a Foxconn, gigante dos eletrônicos com sede em Taiwan, tem ambições automotivas e recentemente revelou seu carro elétrico que será um rival direto para o Tesla Model Y e outros modelos similares como o Volkswagen ID.4. Ele se chama Foxtron Model B e será apresentado oficialmente em 18 de outubro.

Na verdade, além de saber que o veículo é construído sobre a plataforma de carros elétricos de código aberto da Foxconn (abreviação de Mobility in Harmony) (que a empresa acredita que permitirá que seja “o Android dos veículos elétricos”) os detalhes ainda são escassos. Mais provavelmente serão compartilhados em pouco mais de uma semana quando a revelação oficial for planejada. O que sabemos por enquanto é que o plano é começar a fabricar este veículo em 2024 na fábrica de Ohio comprada da Lordstown-GM.
