Divorced from one of the wealthiest men in the world, it was quite a shock when MacKenzie Scott wed an unremarkable Seattle high school chemistry teacher in a surprise ceremony in June 2021 – before it all came to a screeching halt less than two years later.

But while 53-year-old MacKenzie, who was recently named the world’s fifth richest woman by Forbes, hasn’t been lucky in love, both of her ex-husbands have.

DailyMail.com can exclusively reveal her second ex, Dan Jewett, 47, has already moved on less than 18 months after the ink dried on his divorce papers.

Jewett is currently living with Seattle-based mom-of-three Kathryn Ohtake, 50, and is sharing the $873,000 mock-Tudor home she was awarded in her own divorce in 2013.

Exclusive DailyMail.com photos show the couple enjoying a cozy lunch last week at a pizza restaurant close to their home in Seattle’s leafy University District.

The loved-up pair were also joined by one of Ohtake’s daughters; with the trio seen laughing and smiling as they enjoyed their meal at Mioposto which bills itself as a ‘hip spot for woodfired pizzas and cocktails’.

But although both Jewett and oncology sales specialist Ohtake appeared blissfully happy, the trappings of the billionaire lifestyle he enjoyed while married to Mackenzie are long gone.

Jewett has been enjoying a lowkey and modest lifestyle since divorcing MacKenzie. He drives a new $24,000 Fisker Ocean electric SUV

Where once, nothing was off the menu no matter how expensive; Jewett’s new lifestyle seems rather more humble.

At Mioposto, the most expensive item is a 12oz ribeye steak served with an arugula and gorgonzola salad for $49.

Other options include a $27 puttanesca pizza, a dish of oven roasted hood canal clams for $22 and a ganache chocolate layer cake for $13.

Home used to be MacKenzie’s $37.5million waterfront mansion in Seattle’s eye wateringly expensive Medina Island neighborhood.

The property, one of three she received during her 2019 divorce from Amazon boss Jeff Bezos, 60, sprawls over 9,400sqft and has a two-story guesthouse attached to it via a glass bridge, along with manicured Japanese gardens and a rooftop terrace with its own fireplace.

His new digs, although far from shabby, are considerably more modest: a four-bedroom cottage that sits on a 5,000sqft lot – barely half the size of MacKenzie’s home.

While the house does boast Carrara marble kitchen fixtures, there is only one kitchen instead of MacKenzie’s two and, instead of four bathrooms, the home has just two.

Even Jewett’s car is a modest one: a brand new $24,000 Fisker Ocean electric SUV produced by a California-based start-up that is battling bankruptcy and was last week delisted from the New York Stock Exchange as a result.

Jewett met ex-wife MacKenzie via his old job as a chemistry teacher at Lakeside School – a ritzy private school attended by the four Bezos children.

He had previously been married to another woman named Jill Myers, 44, who he divorced not long before his marriage to MacKenzie, with that relationship ending in January 2019 according to court records.

The couple announced they had married by updating MacKenzie’s page on the Giving Pledge website to include a photo of them together – the 53-year-old has vowed to give away as much of her fortune as possible during her lifetime.

Bezos, who is engaged to glamorous Lauren Sanchez, 54, welcomed the news, telling the WSJ at the time: ‘Dan is such a great guy, and I am happy and excited for the both of them.’

In a statement accompanying the photo, Jewett said: ‘And now, in a stroke of happy coincidence, I am married to one of the most generous and kind people I know — and joining her in a commitment to pass on an enormous financial wealth to serve others.’

He added: ‘It is strange to be writing a letter indicating I plan to give away the majority of my wealth during my lifetime, as I have never sought to gather the kind of wealth required to feel like saying such a thing would have particular meaning.

‘I have been a teacher for the majority of my life, as well as a grateful student of the generosity of those around me.

‘This has meant doing my best to follow their example by passing on resources of all kinds — from time, to energy, to material possessions—when I have had them to give.’

DailyMail.com obtained MacKenzie and Jewett’s divorce petition which showed no plans for alimony payments

But just one year after Jewett’s warm words, the pair jointly filed for divorce according to court records seen by DailyMail.com with the petition lodged on September 26 2022.

Neither requested spousal support and the divorce was finalized on January 4 2023. A confidential separation agreement was also filed.

Jewett has never spoken about his marriage to Mackenzie other than in his profile on the Giving Pledge website and declined to comment when approached by DailyMail.com.

Last week, the 53-year-old hit the headlines when it emerged she had given away a whopping $640m to a group of 361 nonprofits.

Among them was Mending Hearts which helps women recovering from addiction, migrant charity CAPI and Openhouse – a San Francisco-based organization that supports LGBTQ seniors.
