MACC is probing former finance minister Daim Zainuddin for alleged corruption and money laundering.
PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission has summoned Daim Zainuddin’s wife and two sons in its probe into the former finance minister in relation to the seizure of a skyscraper in Kuala Lumpur.
Daim’s wife, Naimah Khalid and his two sons are expected to be questioned by the anti-graft agency at its headquarters in Putrajaya tomorrow morning.
Last month, MACC seized the 60-storey Ilham Tower under Section 38(1) of the MACC Act 2009, which deals with the seizure of immovable property.
MACC chief Azam Baki later revealed that the agency was probing Daim for alleged corruption and money laundering.
Daim has since denied any corrupt act or wrongdoing.
