Dunnes Stores jumps on the cosy UGG slipper trend for just €25

Is it just us, or has the winter seemed endless this year? We’re still wearing our slippers around the house anyway and these cosy UGG dupes from Dunnes Stores have caught our eye.

The trendy UGG Tazz slipper shoe, with its platform sole and soft sheepskin cushioning, are all the rage this year but come with a whopping price tag of €135, so they’ll make a rather larger, slipper-shaped dent in your bank account!

Thankfully, Dunnes has a version in stock that looks very similar to the original UGG slippers and the good news is they’re more than €100 cheaper.

The Irish store’s version also features the platform sole as well as the faux fur interior and zig-zag trim and comes in a tan suede colour.

You’ll want to get shopping pronto as Dunnes’ Platform Suede Stitch Mules are still in stock in most shoe sizes but are already sold out in size 42.

It’s not the first time the UGG slippers have been replicated by a high street brand as earlier this year New Look released its own version that’s also strikingly similar.

The Truffle Tan Woven Trim Slipper Boots from New Look are still in stock in most sizes (and in three colours – black, tan, and light tan) and you can bag them for just €29.99.

While they’re not exactly the same as the original UGG slippers, for that drastic price difference, they’ll do just fine in our wardrobe!
