- These Spirits will be released over the course of five days starting from February 9th.
- The upcoming Pokemon Spirits will give players more Spirit Points than usual, just like the previous releases.
Several Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Spirits are coming to the popular fighting game Super Smash Bros. Ultimate very soon. These upcoming additions will provide useful in-game bonuses.
One of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s distinguishable features is its use of Spirits, which are power-ups and collectibles that give buffs and allow players to use special skills during fights. The Nintendo Switch exclusive has been able to build an impressive roster of more than 1,500 Spirits since it was launched in December 2018, based on popular Nintendo franchises, including Pokemon. Pokemon fans will be happy to know that Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is set to receive even more Pokemon Spirits soon.

Why a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Sequel Probably Won’t Be a Switch 2 Launch Title
There is plenty of demand a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate sequel, but it is unlikely to be a launch title for Nintendo’s next system.
In a recent tweet, the official Japanese Twitter account of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate announced that the title will be getting Spirits from Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, as well as the games’ paid expansion, The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero. These Spirits will roll out over the course of five days starting February 9, with Ninth Generation Legendary Pokemon Koraidon and Miraidon being the first releases. They will be followed in this order by Ogerpon, Terapagos, and the Paldea starters, Fuecoco, Quaxly, and Sprigatito.
Characters from Supergiant Games’ Hades, Vanillaware’s 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, and Konami’s WBSC eBASEBALL: Power Pros joined Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as Spirits in January. Like with the previous release, the upcoming Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Spirits will provide players with more Spirit Points than usual.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate also received new Spirits at the start of 2024 from The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Pikmin, Xenoblade Chronicles 3, and Splatoon 3. All these releases came after Super Smash Bros. Ultimate celebrated its 5th anniversary last December. A special event was held to mark the occasion, which was the only new Spirit Board event added last year. At the time, this was supposedly the first new event Super Smash Bros. Ultimate received in nearly two years.
With its large selection of characters, unique levels, and entertaining modes, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has become one of the Switch’s best-selling games, shipping around 33.67 million copies worldwide, according to Nintendo. Despite its success, there is still no word on a sequel.
