Tom Collins scored a first-minute try for Ealing before Harry Bazalgette got Hartpury on the board with a penalty.

In National League One , there was late heartbreak for Cinderford as Sale snatched a 21-15 victory with a converted try in the last play at Heywood Road.

The visitors opened the scoring in the second minute when centre Jake Shortland raced through a gap in the home defence to score a try, which Joe Winfield converted.

Play was well contested for remainder of the first half with the defences to the fore, however right on the half-time whistle Winfield kicked a penalty to make it 10-0.

Sale came out in determined mood in the second half and prop Tye Raymond crashed over from close range, with James Robins adding the conversion.

Pressure deep in Foresters territory resulted in a try from Andy Hughes, which Robins converted.

Cinderford re-took the lead in the 76th minute when Nathan Taylor was driven over from a five-metre catch and drive.

Then came the dramatic conclusion as Sale recycled the ball through numerous phases before Hughes crashed over for his second try, Tom Parkin converting.

Kerin Lake’s well-finished score was the sole highlight of a poor first-half for Gloucester-Hartpury.

Five minutes into the second half, Amelia Tutt’s try and Jones’ outstanding touchline conversion stretched the Tigers’ lead to 19 points and the unbeaten record looked to be in serious danger.
