KOTA BHARU – Tiada siapa tahu tarikh sebenar kewujudan Tanah Perkuburan Cik Siti Wan Kembang di Kampung Banggol di sini namun ia menjadi antara sejarah istimewa di negeri ini.

Tanah perkuburan seluas 7.6 hektar termasuk dua hektar hak milik persendirian itu mempunyai 20 pintu bagi memudahkan urusan pengebumian dan pembersihan.

Tinjauan Sinar Harian di kawasan terbabit mendapati banyak penempatan penduduk hanya beberapa meter dari tanah perkuburan dan ada di antaranya dikatakan melibatkan pengebumian ahli keluarga.

Imam Masjid Sultan Ismail Petra Mukim Banggol, Muhammad A’mmar Azlan berkata, sehingga kini tidak dapat dipastikan pewakaf atau pemilik asal tanah perkuburan yang panjangnya sejauh perjalanan 2 kilometer itu.

“Orang-orang tua dahulu memberitahu, tanah perkuburan yang dikatakan terbesar di Kelantan itu wujud ratusan tahun lalu berdasarkan jenazah Cik Siti Wan Kembang yang turut disemadikan di situ,” katanya ketika ditemui pada Ahad.

Menurut beliau, kawasan itu berada di bawah Majlis Agama Islam Kelantan (MAIK) dan diurus pihak masjid dengan bantuan tujuh pekerja.

Jelasnya, ramai tokoh ulama terkenal dikebumikan di tanah perkuburan itu termasuk bakas Mufti Kelantan, Allahyarham Datuk Mohd Noor Ibrahim dan Allahyarham Abdul Samad Muhammad Saleh atau lebih dikenali sebagai Tuan Tabal.

“Kebanyakan jenazah yang dikebumikan di situ ialah individu dari seluruh daerah Kota Bharu,” katanya.

Muhammad A’mmar memberitahu, tanah perkuburan berkenaan sebelum ini dipenuhi hutan, namun atas inisiatif MAIK dan masjid dua tahun lalu menjadikannya seperti padang pasir yang luas.

“Kami tidak menggunakan jentera besar sebaliknya kudrat pekerja untuk membuang semak dan pokok bagi mengelakkan kerosakan di kawasan kubur itu,” katanya.

Ketika ditanya mengenai prosedur pengebumian, Muhammad A’mmar berkata, tiada perkara utama yang dikhaskan tetapi penduduk Kampung Banggol yang meninggal dunia akan dikebumikan tanpa sebarang bayaran dikenakan kepada waris kerana ditanggung pihak masjid.

“Tiada garis panduan khusus kerana penduduk luar Kampung Banggol boleh memaklumkan kepada pihak masjid untuk tindakan lanjut,” ujarnya.

Sementara itu, ketua pekerja pembersihan, Fauzi Yaakob, 53, berkata, semua pekerja perlu mengikut jadual yang ditetapkan kerana bertanggungjawab membersihkan beberapa lagi tanah perkuburan lain di kampung berkenaan.

Katanya, kesemua pekerja menjalankan tugas tanpa gagal setiap hari untuk menjaga keceriaan persekitaran kubur yang luas mata memandang.

“Bagaimanapun, kami tidak pernah dikejutkan dengan perkara mistik sebaliknya bertugas dengan baik sehingga tamat waktunya,” katanya.

Bagi pekerja pembersihan di Tanah Perkuburan Cik Siti Wan Kembang, Mohd Noor Mat Junoh, 55, berkata, setiap hari tugasnya membersihkan kawasan itu bersama rakan-rakan yang lain.

Katanya, tugasan membersihkan kubur bermula jam 8.30 pagi dengan menyapu sampah dan membuang rumput.

“Kami akan memastikan kawasan ini sentiasa bersih supaya waris dapat melawat dengan selesa,” ujarnya.
