Terrifying moment machete-wielding thug runs at man on London double decker bus in 'bid to steal his iPhone'

This is the terrifying moment a machete-wielding thug charges at a man on a bus in London to try and steal his iPhone.

Captioned with ‘POV you have an iPhone in London’, the video footage is taken from inside a double-decker in the north of the capital.

The cameraman alleges that he was the target of an attempted robbery by a trio who he claims were after his iPhone.

Another man dressed in orange can be seen at the open doors of the bus arguing with the attackers.

He shouts: ‘You need to get out of here, bruv. That’s a terrorism charge.’

The cameraman then boldly sticks his head out of the open bus doors to get a better look at the attackers.

He exclaims, ‘They’re trying to rob my phone,’ and hurriedly stumbles back into the bus.

Someone else exclaims, ‘He’s got a shank’.

The man stood to the left grabs the machete and then charges towards the cameraman waving the knife

The man stood to the left in the trio grabs the machete and then charges towards the cameraman waving the knife.

Shaky footage shows the cameraman running up the back stairs of the bus and down the front stairs to avoid the attacker.

A passenger can be heard screaming. The cameraman cannot seem to shake his pursuer and shouts ‘Chill fam’.

The cameraman then runs back up the stairs and the video cuts off.

Transport for London (TfL) told MailOnline they are investigating the incident.
