New iPad Air with a bigger screen could launch next month

Apple is widely rumoured to launch its next-generation iPad Air soon with rumours pointing out that the device could hit the shelves as early as next month. So, people can expect the launch in March. Although, Apple hasn’t yet confirmed the existence of this model. The rumour mill claims that we could see the new iPad Air with a larger screen and improved performance. iPad Air could launch in March: Leaked design, features 

The 6th generation iPad Air is said to come with either Apple’s M2 or M3 chip under the hood. The company might retain the sleek flat-edged design that Apple introduced in the 2020 iPad Air. The change could be in terms of form factor, with rumors pointing towards a larger 12.9-inch display option alongside the existing 10.9-inch model, mirroring the difference seen in the iPad Pro lineup.

Leaked schematics from Apple’s supply chain suggest a redesigned camera bump for the new iPad Air models, hinting at a vertically oriented layout reminiscent of past iPhone designs. This overhaul could potentially pave the way for the inclusion of a camera flash, although Apple’s exact intention remains shrouded in mystery.

Despite rumors of a revamped Magic Keyboard with a more laptop-style aluminum design tailored for the iPad Pro, the iPad Air is not expected to come with this. According to reports by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the new Magic Keyboard will be exclusive to the iPad Pro lineup.

“The new Magic Keyboard provides another differentiator for the iPad Pro. Apple isn’t planning a new version of that accessory for the iPad Air. The new 12.9-inch model will stick to using the current Magic Keyboard for that screen size. So if you want to get the best keyboard, you have another reason to spring for the Pro,” Gurman remarked.

While details regarding specific colour options and additional features remain scarce at the moment, more leaks about the upcoming iPad Air tablet are expected to come out soon. To recall, the 5th generation iPad Air was launched back in 2022, so the new version is pending. It was made available for Rs 54,999. Currently, it is selling on Flipkart and Amazon with a starting price of Rs 52,999.
