A portion of Interstate 65 in northwest Indiana has been shut down following a fatal crash caused by a wrong-way driver, authorities said Saturday afternoon.
The southbound lanes of I-65 were closed near mile marker 248, just one mile north of the U.S. 231 exit, according to Indiana State Police. Drivers were advised to seek alternate routes as all southbound lanes remained block, ISP Sgt. Glen Fifield tweeted.
It remains unclear how many fatalities were reported.
