The Sharks have made Challenge Cup history. They are the first South African team to reach the semi-finals of the prestigious European club tournament. John Plumtree’s charges will face Clermont Auvergne at Twickenham Stoop on Saturday, 4 May.

In the Champions Cup, four-time winners Leinster will host the Northampton Saints in Dublin on Saturday, 4 May, at 5:30 pm. The Saints make their first semi-final appearance after a resounding 59-22 victory over the Vodacom Bulls.

On Sunday, 5 May, French giants Toulon will face Harlequins at Le Stadium at 4 pm in the other Champions Cup semi-final. The Sharks’ achievement has added excitement to the Challenge Cup.

They aim to become the first South African team to reach the final of a European club competition.
