BKU announces support to farmers agitation

Bharatiya Kisan Union ( BKU) on Saturday announced to support the farmers agitation and decided that Tikait family is ready to give sacrifice for the agitation.

The decision was taken in the Panchayat held in Sisauli.

After the Panchayat, BKU spokesperson Rajesh Tikait said that some member of the Tikait family will have to sacrifice in the movement. “First in 2008, then in 2021 and at present also the situation is similar. We will not shy away from getting shot in the chest,” he announced before the media.

In the BKU panchayat while supporting the farmers’ demonstrations, Tikait said they will hold protest at the district headquarters of UP, Haryana, Uttarakhand and Delhi on 21 February 21.

Apart from this, on February 26 and 27 , farmers will protest in their respective areas from Haridwar to Ghazipur by parking tractors on the highway towards Delhi.

BKU President Chaudhary Naresh Tikait said that the proposal to park tractors on the highway will be sent to the United Kisan Morcha. The final decision will be taken with the consent of the Morcha.

Naresh Tikait said that farmers could vote wherever they wish in the Lok Sabha polks. We will not stop anyone. We have nothing to do with politics, he added.

BKU spokesperson Rakesh Tikait said that the gang of capitalists has captured the BJP. ” The government did the work of breaking the Morcha. Three fronts were formed in Punjab ,but now all farmers are one. Stop watching anti-farmer TV channels and debates,” he suggested.

Rakesh Tikait said that,” if former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee or Lal Krishna Advani had been there, they would have listened to the farmers. They were elected from the village and went to Delhi. This government will not listen to the farmers.
