food court opens at pennsylvania farm show
The Pennsylvania Farm show is known as the largest indoor agricultural experience in the country, and one of those most popular parts of the events is the food court.
The food court of the farm show is now open and features many treats, including potato doughnuts, blended mushroom burgers, chicken pot pie and many more.

This year, the Mushroom Farmers of Pennsylvania added stuffed baby bella mushrooms to the menu.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a farm show without the legendary farm show milkshakes, but this year, a new flavor is on the table.
The Pennsylvania Dairymens Association is adding salted caramel to the farm show.
It was made to celebrate The Giant Company’s 100th year anniversary.
Giant is a major donor to dairy farms in Pennsylvania.
Association members said the goal this year is to bring smiles to faces but also teach consumers about livestock and the farming practices used to make the product.
Last year, the Dairymen’s Association used 21,000 gallons of milkshake product to serve guests.
“The average size dairy heard in Pennsylvania is about 80 cows,” association member Dave Smith said. “For production for our business here it takes an average-sized dairy farm in Pennsylvania about five weeks of production to make the dairy product here for the farm show.”
Guests can still enjoy traditional farm show milkshake flavors, such as vanilla, chocolate or a blend of both.
Friday’s food court event will run until 9 p.m. and the Pennsylvania Farm Show will officially begin Saturday at 8 a.m. and end on Jan. 13.
