Wellington’s Alex Rufer will miss the game for the Phoenix after injuring himself in the warm-up.
Lightning has delayed the start of Macarthur FC’s clash with fellow A-League Men heavyweights Wellington Phoenix.
The Phoenix will be without skipper Alex Rufer when the match gets under way at 6.01pm at Campbelltown Stadium after the defender hurt himself in the warm-up.
Fin Conchie replaces Rufer in the starting side for the already depleted Phoenix.
Sunday’s match had been due to kick off at 5pm, but that time was pushed back twice as inclement weather hung about.
It comes a year to the day after lightning prompted two lengthy delays in another clash at Campbelltown Stadium, between the Bulls and Newcastle Jets.
Both Wellington and Macarthur are on seven-game unbeaten runs heading into Sunday’s game, with the Phoenix out to consolidate top spot on the ladder, and the third-placed Bulls hoping to gain ground on them.
