In a new era of NFL Draft coverage, Pro Football Network is proud to publish the first-ever staff-run simultaneous mock draft using the PFN Mock Draft Simulator. Ten analysts took part in the first-of-its-kind mock draft, using the brand-new, revolutionary feature that allows users the chance to draft against their peers in a simulated edition of the 2024 NFL Draft.

Here are the results.

Latest 7-Round 2024 NFL Mock Draft | Round 1

Some level-setting: We catered to some of the most anticipated positions in the 2024 NFL Draft, selecting for the likes of the Chicago Bears, New York Giants, and a handful of other very intriguing draft positions. Ten PFN analysts took part in the draft, utilizing the newly released multi-user feature on the Pro Football Network Mock Draft Simulator.

Trades are involved below, as are computer-generated selections for the remaining 22 NFL teams. The results are indicated by a CPU selection or a user-drafted player, as are the trades that came off the back of user-to-user or user-to-CPU trades.

1) Chicago Bears: Caleb Williams, QB, USC

User: Dallas Robinson

With the first pick of the draft, PFN NFL Analyst Dallas Robinson selected USC QB Caleb Williams. Despite fielding interesting offers for the first overall pick, Robinson decided it was time to “reset the rookie contract clock” and get the most talented quarterback on their big board as a way to refresh the fanbase in Chicago.

2) Washington Commanders: Drake Maye, QB, North Carolina

Washington were commanded by the computer in this 10-user mock draft, selecting UNC QB Drake Maye in the process. The Commanders didn’t field any offers to get up to No. 2 from our user base, but the next pick did.

3) New England Patriots: Jayden Daniels, QB, LSU

User: Dakota Randall

PFN’s Dakota Randall took charge of the New England Patriots and was offered quite a haul for the third overall pick. Those trade offers came in fast and furious, including a massive offer from the Las Vegas Raiders.

The Raiders offered their first-round pick, two Day 2 picks, and a second-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft that intrigued Randall. But in the end, the obvious choice was the QB of the future in New England: Jayden Daniels.

4) Arizona Cardinals: Marvin Harrison Jr., WR, Ohio State

Arizona was another computer-controlled team, and with their selection at No. 4, they had their pick of the most talented players at every position not aligned as a quarterback. Marvin Harrison Jr. is the No. 1 overall player on the PFN Big Board and, as such, went to the Cardinals in a no-brainer.

5) Los Angeles Chargers: Olumuyiwa Fashanu, OT, Penn State

With a bevy of options to choose from, the Los Angeles Chargers were certainly met with multiple offers for the fifth pick. The Chargers, a computer-controlled team in this simulation, opted to stay at No. 5 and draft their top tackle, Olumuyiwa Fashanu. Given the trade that happened at No. 6, it makes more sense why they stayed put.

6) Denver Broncos: J.J. McCarthy, QB, Michigan

Trade: Denver trades pick No. 12 in 2024 and 2025 first- and third-round picks to New York for pick No. 6

The Broncos made a massive move to No. 6 to come up and get their man at quarterback. In the first draft-day trade, the Broncos sent pick No. 12 in 2024 and a first- and third-round pick in 2025 in exchange for the New York Giants’ No. 6 overall pick in 2024.

PFN’s very own Owain Jones was happy to make that deal while controlling the Giants. Denver then selected the fourth quarterback of the first six selections, Michigan QB J.J. McCarthy.

7) Tennessee Titans: Joe Alt, OT, Notre Dame

After a fiery trade up to six, the Tennessee Titans were comfortable to stay put with the seventh overall pick, grabbing Joe Alt from Notre Dame. The massive tackle fills a big need and could be a reality come the actual 2024 NFL Draft, given the current status of the top tackles on the board.

8) Atlanta Falcons: Dallas Turner, EDGE, Alabama

The Atlanta Falcons waited to see how the board fell for them, and the computer decided the best player available also filled a massive need as well. Dallas Turner was the selection as the former Crimson Tide edge defender should be an impact starter with the Falcons.

9) Chicago Bears: Malik Nabers, WR, LSU

User: Dallas Robinson

The second pick for PFN’s Robinson, the Bears stopped the fall of LSU WR Malik Nabers. Given the draft needs and the teams ahead of the Bears at pick No. 9, Nabers fall is a realistic scenario at the current moment and one that Robinson couldn’t help but take advantage of.

“I expected the top three receivers to be off the board here and potentially trade back,” Robinson said. “Despite interesting trade offers, Nabers is too good to pass up.”

10) New York Jets: Rome Odunze, WR, Washington

The New York Jets were a team that attempted to trade up to No. 9 with the Bears, offering a pick swap and an additional 2025 second-round selection. It’s clear they were targeting a wide receiver, but a nice consolation prize for the computer-controlled Jets is Washington WR Rome Odunze here at 10.

11) Minnesota Vikings: Terrion Arnold, CB, Alabama

While the Minnesota Vikings missed on the top four quarterbacks — not for lack of effort — they decided to grab the top overall player at another position of need: cornerback. Terrion Arnold is the top-rated CB on the PFN board and fits incredibly well into the Vikings’ system here.

12) Las Vegas Raiders: Taliese Fuaga, OT, Oregon State

Trade: Las Vegas traded up one spot by sending pick No. 13 and a 2025 second-round selection to the Giants in exchange for picks No. 12 and No. 166

The Raiders made a move up to get their preferred tackle of the options available, selecting Oregon State’s Taliese Fuaga. A mauler in the run game, the Raiders appear more prone to grab a player with a more proven track record than the next tackle selected.

13) New York Giants: Amarius Mims, OT, Georgia

After trading back twice, user-controlled New York finally makes a selection at No. 13. To recap, the Giants were able to acquire a 2025 first, second, and third-round pick from various trades with the Broncos and Raiders, only giving up seven spots in the first round and pick No. 166.

In the end, the Giants grabbed the massive Amarius Mims to continue rebuilding their offensive line.

14) New Orleans Saints: Chop Robinson, EDGE, Penn State

With the 14th pick, the New Orleans Saints drafted the second edge defender off the board. Penn State’s Chop Robinson has shown to be an athletic disruptor and, with the way the board fell, was the top player available at a position of need for the Saints.

15) Indianapolis Colts: Brock Bowers, TE, Georgia

It could be said that Brock Bowers is in the running as the best player available when the draft starts. Getting a player of his caliber is going to be in the running for ‘steal of the draft’ no matter where he goes, but at 15th overall, his value was too much to pass up for the Indianapolis Colts.

16) Jacksonville Jaguars: Quinyon Mitchell, CB, Toledo

Trade: Jacksonville traded the No. 17 pick in 2024 and a third-round pick in 2025 to move up one spot with Seattle

The second cornerback off the board is Toledo’s Quinyon Mitchell, who heads to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Multiple users attempted to trade up a handful of times to obtain a slot near this computer-controlled pick, but it was clear that the Jaguars’ offer was too much for Seattle to slide back just one spot, and the Jags were sold on drafting Mitchell.

17) Seattle Seahawks: Laiatu Latu, EDGE, UCLA

With a slight run on the top of the edge market, the Seattle Seahawks fended off a handful of trade attempts to select their guy: Laiatu Latu from UCLA. Seattle grabs Latu as the rebuilding efforts on their defensive front see them add an athletic chess piece off the edge with Latu’s abilities.

Seattle moves back a spot, acquires an additional third-round pick, and still gets their man.

18) Cincinnati Bengals: JC Latham, OT, Alabama

User: Jay Morrison

JC Latham was in the running for the Giants back at pick No. 13, and his proverbial slide down the board stops at pick No. 18 with the Cincinnati Bengals. PFN’s Jay Morrison selected Latham, giving a clear indication of the future of the Bengals’ offensive line in the process.

“Maybe Latham beats out Trent Brown this year, maybe he beats out Cordell Volson, and he’s the guard,” Morrison said. “If not, he learns for a year, and he’s your right tackle next year.”

19) Los Angeles Rams: Nate Wiggins, CB, Clemson

With Mitchell gone, the blazing-fast Nate Wiggins is the next cornerback off the board, heading west to the Los Angeles Rams. While you can’t quite call it a run on cornerbacks, the top three options are off the board with Wiggins’ selection, pushing the board down in terms of top-tier defenders with this selection.

20) Pittsburgh Steelers: Jackson Powers-Johnson, C, Oregon

It isn’t glamorous, but then again, the Pittsburgh Steelers aren’t a glamorous franchise. The team has put out All-Pro interior linemen like it’s no one’s business, and Jackson Powers-Johnson has that kind of pedigree. Arguably the best interior player in this draft class, the computer-controlled Steelers get their man.

21) Miami Dolphins: Troy Fautanu, G, Washington

User: Oliver Hodgkinson

Standing pat at No. 21 despite offers from multiple teams, the Miami Dolphins grab Washington lineman Troy Fautanu to fill multiple needs. Fautanu, as PFN’s Oliver Hodgkinson said, is one of the top players on the board for good reason.

“Fautanu can play tackle and both guard positions, both areas of need for Miami,” Hodgkinson said. “Despite the offers, we’re taking the talented Fautanu, and we’ll figure out where to play him down the road.”

22) Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Jared Verse, EDGE, Florida State

Trade: Tampa sends pick No. 26 and a second-round pick in 2025 to Philadelphia in exchange for picks No. 22 and 210 in 2024

With the edge defender market dwindling, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers made a move to ensure they nailed the most coveted player on their board. From Albany to Tallahassee to Tampa, Jared Verse is the potential next game-changing edge defender in Bucs’ franchise history.

Verse offers up a ton of value at 22 and certainly warranted swapping a second-round pick for a sixth-round selection with the Eagles, as the Bucs need immediate help off the edge.

23) Minnesota Vikings: Bo Nix, QB, Oregon

The fifth quarterback comes off the board, and the Minnesota Vikings didn’t even have to trade up to acquire him. Bo Nix lands in Minnesota, filling the massive need as the future franchise quarterback with the team. His meteoric rise after three subpar seasons at Auburn is complete.

24) San Francisco 49ers: Brian Thomas Jr., WR, LSU

User: Ian Cummings

Trade: San Francisco sends picks No. 31, 124, and 176 in the 2024 draft, as well as a second-round pick in 2025, in exchange for Dallas’ picks No. 24 and 216

Paying quite a bit to move up from 31 to 24, the San Francisco 49ers grab the top receiver on the board and steal Brian Thomas Jr. out from the noses of a few other WR-needy teams in the process.

San Fran had to offer up three picks in the 2024 draft as well as a second-round selection to move up seven spots, paying almost a significant amount more than the Bucs did to move up four places just two picks prior.

Still, it was worth it, as PFN’s Ian Cummings had this to say about Thomas: “I really like Thomas’ vertical element; he can bring the RAC element, and the roster is strong enough to see what this trio (Brandon Aiyuk, Deebo Samuel, Brian Thomas) can do.”

25) Green Bay Packers: Tyler Guyton, OT, Oklahoma

Sitting by as users trade all around them, the computer-controlled Green Bay Packers grab a tackle to help shore up their future protection of Jordan Love with their pick of Tyler Guyton. Guyton brings terrific size, speed, and athleticism, as well as a great foundational base for the Packers for years to come.

26) Philadelphia Eagles: Cooper DeJean, CB, Iowa

Trade: The Eagles acquired pick No. 26 and a 2025 second-round selection from Tampa in exchange for pick No. 22 and 210

The Eagles gained a second-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft and were still able to select a player they were eyeing already at pick No. 22 anyway. PFN’s Brian Blewis offers this insight into the selection:

“Just another bonus here as there’s a guy sitting on the board that fills a critical position of need that fans think Philadephia should draft at 22, and that’s Cooper DeJean.”

DeJean’s versatility he takes to Philadelphia should pay dividends in a secondary that needs someone to play off C.J. Gardner-Johnson’s skill set, and DeJean can do such a thing.

27) Arizona Cardinals: Jordan Morgan, OT, Arizona

It’s a tackle-filled first round as Jordan Morgan stays put in the state of Arizona, landing with the Arizona Cardinals. With Guyton off the board, the tackle market thinned out and forced their hand, but the fit certainly makes a ton of sense for the Cardinals at No. 27.

28) Buffalo Bills: Keon Coleman, WR, Florida State

If there was ever a spot in the first round that you could put a position in pen following free agency, it’s Buffalo taking a wide receiver. With Keon Coleman atop the wide receiver draft board, the Bills get a potential alpha receiver to fill in the spot vacated by Gabe Davis while the team figures out the future of Stefon Diggs.

29) Detroit Lions: Kool-Aid McKinstry, CB, Alabama

Cornerbacks are getting harder and harder to come by and the computer-controlled Detroit Lions grab Kool-Aid McKinstry from Alabama. The former Crimson Tide cornerback can play in man or zone coverage and presents a physical, ball-hawking cornerback that should become a fan favorite in Detroit.

30) Baltimore Ravens: Adonai Mitchell, WR, Texas

Receivers are starting to become more valuable as the first round comes to a close. Baltimore needs a red zone weapon, and AD Mitchell may be the best threat inside the 20-yard line in this class. Lamar Jackson and Mitchell would be an incredible pairing.

31) Dallas Cowboys: Johnny Newton, DT, Illinois

User: Mike Gambardella

Trade: Dallas acquired picks No. 31, 124, and 176 in the 2024 draft, as well as a second-round pick in 2025 from Dallas, in exchange for picks No. 24 and 216

After receiving a bevy of selections from the draft-capital-heavy 49ers, the Cowboys finally got a deal done when they moved back seven spots to No. 31. Despite waiting to make their deal and moving back, the Cowboys still picked their coveted player they were looking at back at pick No. 24.

PFN’s Mike Gambardella explained that “the top two guys at a pivotal area of need are still at the board after trading back with Byron Murphy and Johnny Newton still around. Newton is the pick as a versatile interior defender.”

32) New England Patriots: Xavier Worthy, WR, Texas

User: Dakota Randall

Trade: New England trades picks No. 34 and 137 in exchange for Kansas City’s pick No. 32

Moving up two picks to get back into the first round, Randall acquires that sought-after fifth-year option on the newly-acquired Xavier Worhty from Texas. The speedster who set the NFL Combine 40-yard dash record just last month fills a position of need for the Patriots.

“Addressing an obvious need the Patriots have neglected for too long, new QB Daniels gets an immediate high-end receiver to work with,” Randall said of pairing Worthy with the third overall pick, Daniels.
