Malayalam film Aadujeevitham or The Goat Life, starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Amala Paul in the lead roles, has completed a successful two weeks in theaters since its release on March 28. The film has entered its third week. Going by the box office numbers, the film continues to enthrall fans. According to Sacnilk.com, the film earned an estimated Rs 1.70 crore net on the second Thursday. As of now, the total collection for the film has touched a mark of Rs 67.85 crore net in India.

Aadujeevitham initially released in Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi. Now, it has only screenings for Malayalam and Tamil as the rest of the languages dropped in numbers. On April 11, the occupancy rate for the Malayalam version was 68.25 percent, while Tamil had 34.10 percent.

As per the latest update, Aadujeevitham has crossed the lifetime collections of Mohanlal’s Lucifer and entered into the top 5 all-time Malayalam grossers. This is a new achievement for a film that is without commercial elements. Currently, the worldwide collection is Rs 126 crore.

Along with the makers and artists, the real-life hero Najeeb, on whose life the film is based is also gaining attention. A native of Ambalapuzha, Najeeb, a fisherman, was busy for two weeks, attending all online channel interviews, as part of the promotional work of the film. This helped the public to know more about the conditions he survived in the desert. However, in the latest interview, Najeeb opened up about the distress he is now facing after a lot of accusations he has faced. As per reports the makers of the movie not paying him enough after the movie tasted success.

As per a report on Kerala Kammudi, Najeeb has said “I now feel like returning to my older life which was filled with peace. As of now, after the release of the movie, crores of people have showered their love on me and they got to know my story. However, some are still posting vilifying comments which have seriously affected me. My family too prefers the old life that was devoid of fame but was replete with peace.I don’t want any money. If the makers of the movie decide to give me anything, I would surely receive it with open arms and there is nothing more. The makers of the movie are very eminent personalities, and I feel really sad when they’re attacked on social media by roping in my name.”
