You’re watching Turkish military helicopters race to the scene of a cable car that collided with a broken pole in southern Turkey. One person was killed. Ten additional people were injured. Multiple cable cars remain trapped for hours midair, affecting a further 174 passengers. According to Reuters. Over 600 rescue workers and 10 helicopters responded to the daunting call. Some were tied to ropes suspended high in the sky, climbing into cable cars. The mission lasted 23 hours, according to Turkish officials. Reuters reports that Turkish prosecutors have launched an investigation into the collision. And ordered the detention of 13 people in relation to the incident.
