The PSL community and Amakhosi fans alike are aware of the fact that Chiefs are in the market for a new coach.

Now, Komphela is reportedly available having not returned to Swallows training. Could we see the ex-Sundowns assist take over Amakhosi next season?

KOMPHELA DID NOT RETURN TO SWALLOWS

The Dube Birds are a club in a disarray. Following player strikes against the PSL, 22 players have been released by Swallows.

Furthermore, to make matters even worse, Komphela has reportedly not returned to training. Thus, sparking speculation over his exit and possible availability.

Swallows recently returned to training ahead of the resumption of the DStv Premiership, according to KickOff.

However, noticeably, they returned without a coach.

In fact, Komphela is reportedly considering his future. So, is a return to Amakhosi on the cards?

COULD HE RETURN TO CHIEFS?

Komphela is well-known by PSL fans. In particular, Amakhosi and Sundowns supporters since he formerly coached the Soweto giants.

Moreover, he was an assistant coach at The Brazilians before he took over at Swallows. Therefore, if he decides against returning to Swallows he will became a free agent. Meanwhile, Amakhosi are looking for a new coach to sign on a long-term basis at the end of the season. Having previously coached the Glamour Boys and given his experience, he could become an option.

Ultimately, Amakhosi has not expressed interest in Komphela and his future is up in the air at the time of publishing.
