Ranji Trophy most runs, most wickets: The Ranji Trophy, organized annually by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), stands as the premier domestic first-class cricket championship in India. This prestigious tournament serves as a significant platform for Indian players to exhibit their talent, with the ultimate goal of earning a spot in the national team based on their performances.

In the Ranji Trophy 2024, a total of 38 teams have participated, engaging in a rigorous competition spanning multiple rounds. Throughout the tournament, a total of 138 matches will be contested among these teams. The format comprises round-robin matches followed by an intense knockout phase. Ranji Trophy 2024 started on January 5. The season will culminate with its final match scheduled to take place on March 14.

Manoj Tiwary walks out to bat for his final first-class match

Bengal captain Manoj Tiwary was accorded a guard of honour by the Bihar team as he walked out to bat against Bihar during his final first-class match on Saturday, February 17.

Last month, the seasoned cricketer had announced his retirement from Ranji Trophy and first-class cricket following the match against Bihar in Kolkata.

“This will be a lifetime memory for me. Thank you my family #TeamBengal for the incredible gesture. I really wanna thank Head Coach @Lshukla6, all the magnificent support staff and my outstanding colleagues. ????I will never forget this “Guard Of Honour” for sure,” Tiwary wrote in the caption of a video he posted on X.

During his illustrious career, Manoj Tiwary participated in 147 first-class matches, amassing 10,165 runs at an average of 47.94 with 30 centuries and 45 fifties.
