Ons Jabeur maintains 7th place in WTA rankings

(TAP) – Tunisian tennis player Ons Jabeur has held on to 7th place for another week in the latest WTA world rankings, published on Monday.
Jabeur, who was paired with US Peyton Stearns, won the doubles round of 32 at the Guadalajara Open Akron (Mexico) on Sunday, defeating the British duo of Olivia Nicholls and Alicia Barnett in straight sets (6-3 / 6-2).
In the next round, Jabeur and Stearns will face Taylor Townsend (USA) and Leylah Fernandez (Canada) on Tuesday.
Jabeur will also take to the singles court on Tuesday, taking on American Alycia Parks (45th) in the second round. Parks advanced after beating her compatriot Lauren Davis in straight sets 6-3, 6-2 on Monday night.
