Why former Pirates striker returned to Durban
It’s nothing new. Players rerturn to old clubs. It’s AmaZulu instead of Orlando Pirates for Mulenga.
AMAZULU ANNOUNCE MULENGA
Supporters of AmaZulu are celebrating the announcement of Mulenga since his departure in July 2022. Looking at today’s news, that decision was a mistake.
“We are thrilled to officially announce the return of Augustine Mulenga to AmaZulu Football Club,” the club said on Saturday.
REASONS FOR THE RETURN
Mulenga quickly spoke to AmaZulu’s media about his return.
Why did he made the decision?
“If I think about it, of all the clubs that I have played for, I think I’ve enjoyed my career since the time l came here to AmaZulu FC.
“I didn’t even hesitate about rejoining Usuthu because l enjoyed my football this side,” said Mulenga.
“There are friendly people in this city who are very supportive. The supporters have been so amazing, and I wish they would continue like that to support me and the team.
“I’m looking forward to helping the team continue where they have left off from last year. I’m sure it’s going to be an amazing journey again with AmaZulu,” Mulenga concluded.
