Robbie Williams has paid a stage tribute to his late mate, cricket legend Shane Warne.
The British superstar, who brings his 25 years greatest hits tour to WA next week, paid homage to Warne during his latest Melbourne gig.
Singing his emotional hit Angels to the MCG crowd he dedicated it to “one of Australia’s greatest rockstars” whilst wearing Warne’s famous number 23 cricket jersey.
Williams famously performed the same hit at Warne’s funeral last year.
The former Take That star’s trip Downunder has been an emotional experience so far after a fan fell and died at one of his shows.
The 49-year-old singer was left heartbroken after Robyn Hall, who was in her 70s, fell down six rows of seating at Sydney’s Allianz Stadium last Thursday and on Tuesday it was confirmed she had passed away.
He said to fans in Melbourne on Wednesday: “I heard the news, the tragic news this week that a fan died in an accident after the show in Sydney and I feel after all the years that I am you and you are me and we are each other when we come together.

“So when something happens like this it breaks my heart. I’ve been thinking about it an awful lot, and I thought about it all the way through the show tonight.
“I just want to give a big shout-out and lots of love from me and my band to Robyn and Robyn’s family.
Singing Angels again he added: “Let’s all sing up, she was somebody just like you that came to the gig just like you did tonight. And I think she deserves a big song and tonight this is for her.”
New South Wales Ambulance confirmed they treated Robyn at the scene after injuries “to her face and head”, and she was then taken to St Vincent’s Hospital “in a critical condition”.
A Venues NSW spokesman previously revealed the woman was treated by staff and a guest who was a “qualified medical professional”.
They explained: “The patron was attended to immediately by venue staff and a nearby guest who is a qualified medical professional.
“Medics arrived shortly after and the patron was taken from the venue by ambulance to hospital.”
