READ MORE: The Apprentice series launch is branded 'stale' by viewers
The Apprentice fans were left cringing on Thursday after one candidate made a blunder in the boardroom.
Dr Asif Munaf, 34, from Sheffield, risked the wrath of Lord Sugar when he accidentally miscalculated the profits on his first task, leading to a premature celebration.
The first episode saw the boys team and the girls team head to the Scottish Highlands to host an away day, competing to see who would walk away with the most profit after their expenditures and crucially, any client refunds, were processed.
Announcing the results, aide Tim Campbell revealed that the clients on the boys team had asked for a refund of a whopping 52 percent, at which point Dr Asif started clapping.
Heads turned and audible gasps resounded, with Karren Brady scowling, as his teammates asked: ‘What are you doing?’ to which Dr Asif incorrectly replied: ‘Well he’s talking about a £300 profit’.

Dr Asif’s actions were met by a stern scowl from Karren Brady, who did not look impressed after he interrupted business mogul Tim Campbell who was talking to the candidates
He was quickly shut down by his teammates who said: ‘Why didn’t you let Tim finish?’ before it was revealed that they had in fact lost the challenge.
Users took to X, formerly known as Twitter with their reactions, sharing: ‘I would have pretended to faint’ said one, while another claimed: ‘I’d pack my bag and leave if that was me’;
‘I was going to do a tweet at some point tonight saying “I miss The Traitors”, but watching this f****** Guess Who character prematurely applaud his assumed victory is one of my TV moments of the year’.
‘I honestly would have fired him on the spot just for that! Me and my husband have christened him Clappy’; ‘The looks should have turned him to stone!”
‘My soul would have left my body and descended to hell’.; ‘Oh my word! Just as well the delicious but acerbic Claude Littner wasn’t there! He would have eaten Asif alive!!!’
‘Nicolas Cage in his finest role…’; ‘He looks like AI Nic Cage and it’s frightening’.
Despite the girls winning, Lord Sugar wasn’t impressed with either team’s efforts, saying the useless display from the candidates is the reason why he doesn’t oversee the tasks himself.
The billionaire remarked that watching the mistakes from the under pressure contestants unravel was like ‘seeing your mother in law drive your Ferrari over a cliff.’

However, aide Karren Brady previously said seeing the candidates make mistakes is one of the reasons viewers love to watch the show – and entrepreneurs even learn what to avoid when running their own businesses.
She said: ‘There’s no script in this show and everything that unfolds, unfolds, it’s authentic, it’s real.
‘Lots of people watch this show to see what to do in business and what not to do. As it unfolds, the viewers see it… there are no retakes.’
Once Lord Sugar has plucked out the weak from the strong contestants, they begin to thrive and finally put money in the bank.
Karren revealed this year’s crop earn the ‘greatest win in terms of value’ as they manage to impress the boss, who’s giving away £250,000 of his own money to the winner.
She said: ‘I’m talking millions… so some of them really come shining to the top.’
