Now, for the rest of 2022, the company is expected to launch a bunch of new budget and mid-range phones in the A series and M series. Among the expected launches, the company is expected to launch the Galaxy A04 and M04 series devices.
Now, ahead of the official launch, the Galaxy A04e has been spotted on a couple of websites. The Galaxy A04e with SM-A042FS model number has been spotted on NBTC and Indonesia Telecom websites revealing some key features. Also, the device with the same model number was previously spotted on the Geekbench database. Let’s take a look at the details.
Samsung Galaxy A04e Listed on NBTC and Indonesia Telecom Websites
On the NBTC website, the Galaxy A04 has been listed with SM-A042FS/DS. The listing also confirms the phone’s moniker as Galaxy A04e. The DS in the model number represents the Dual SIM capabilities but will vary from region to region as we have seen with the past Galaxy smartphones. The NBTC site says the device is manufactured at a Samsung factory in South Korea. As for the network support, the upcoming Galaxy A series device will come with support for GSM, WCDMA, and LTE support. Since this will be a budget-centric device, there is no 5G support.

Further, the Samsung Galaxy A04e with SM-A042F model number has been listed on the Indonesia Telecom site. Although there is a slight change in the model number, this might be a variant of the Galaxy A04e. In fact, the Indonesia Telecom website confirms this is indeed Galaxy A04e. Apart from this info, the site does not verify any other details.
Samsung Galaxy A04e: Expected Specifications
The Samsung Galaxy A04e was spotted on Geekbench with the SM-A042F model number. However, this device was presumed to be the Galaxy A04 Core. But, now it turns out this device is the Galaxy A04e. Based on the synthetic benchmarking site, the Galaxy A04e will run on Android 12 out of the box and will feature 3GB of RAM.
The device could be powered by MediaTek Helio G35 SoC with PowerVR Rogue GE8320 GPU. The phone is expected to launch soon globally as well as in India as it has cleared the BIS certification.
