South Korean brand, Samsung, is one of the most successful in the foldable market space. Its only competitor was Huawei but since the U.S. ban on Huawei, Samsung has been having a free ride. With Apple’s foldable iPhone still a couple of years away, Samsung will be on a rollercoaster ride in this market for quite some time. Next year, the company will continue its success recorded so far. There are already reports of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5  online. According to analysts, this foldable mobile phone will come with a larger external display.

Ross Young, head of DSCC has pretty good contact with the supply chain. According to his recent tweet, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 will come with a larger cover display. Also, this device will come with a new hinge design that will reduce the visibility of the seam.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 may have more functions

Specifically, Young speaks of a cover display with a full 3-inch diagonal which would change the aesthetic of this device. Instead of just fewer tasks, Samsung could make many more functions accessible via the external display. This is because there will be more space available for them.

With the current Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4, the second display with a diagonal of 1.9 inches on the outside of the housing has already grown significantly. With the Galaxy Flip 5, the panel is said to grow significantly with its size of three inches. Although it is unclear how Samsung wants to arrange the display in view of the main cameras that are also on the outside.

At the moment, it is far too early to make any final statements about the design of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5. As usual, Samsung is unlikely to present the new foldable mobile phone in its Z series before the summer of 2023.
