Sarah Reeves wants to record a Christmas single with Michael Buble.
The Canadian crooner has released a string of festive songs over the years and with her own seasonal song, 'Snow Globe', and album 'More The Merrier (Deluxe Edition)' hitting shelves, the Nashville star is keen for them to work together on the ultimate holiday tune.
She told BANG Showbiz: “It would be a dream to collaborate with Michael Buble on 'All I want for Christmas' or any of the classics we both have covered!”
Sarah has recorded her own version of Mariah Carey's festive classic 'All I Want For Christmas Is You' for the record but she admitted she knew it was a risky move to cover something so beloved around the world.
Sharing a video taken from in the studio, she wrote over her Instagram post: “Was it smart or dumb to record the most POPULAR Christmas song?
“Watch out Mariah (cry laughing emoji) (sic)”
But she knew it was something she “had” to include.
She captioned her post “I HAD TO do my own version of this one!! You can hear it in the link in my bio. Happy Holidays!!! (sic)
Sarah's festive album also includes covers of favourites such as 'Last Christmas' and 'It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas' and she previously spoke of how she wanted her own original track, 'Christmas Feels Different This Year', to fit in with the rest of the record.
She told Revamp magazine: “I had to delicately approach the process of writing my own 'classics'.
“I knew I had to step outside of my typical 'pop' melodies and transport my mind to the 40’s asking myself, 'How would Ella sing this?'
“I partnered with people who had either a jazz background or an understanding/love for the Christmas classics. It was so fun to do something out of my norm and somehow felt quite natural.”
Sarah's album, 'More The Merrier (Deluxe Edition)', is out now.
