Cork hotel has Ireland’s best breakfast and here’s what’s included

Sometimes the best part of a hotel stay is digging into a hearty breakfast the next morning.

Cork’s Hayfield Manor might be the spot to consider for this reason alone as the five-star hotel has claimed a national award for best brekkie in Ireland.

At the recently held Virgin Media & Hotel & Catering Review magazine awards, The Hayfield Manor Hotel won the award for Best Hotel Breakfast in Ireland.

The hotel won gold for their impressive breakfast spread, where guests can dig into a wide range of favourites.

The winning breakfast includes a buffet of fresh fruit, cereals, freshly squeezed juices, speciality breads, cheeses, cold meats and a delicious range of pastries fresh from the in-house patisserie, before indulging in hot dishes such as buttermilk pancakes, omelettes or Hayfield Manor’s famous full Irish breakfast.

That wasn’t the only award of the night as the hotel also won silver in Ireland’s Five Star Hotel category.

“We pride ourselves on delivering an unforgettable experience, with our breakfast no exception as our team works to provide our guests with the best possible start to their day,” said Managing Director of Hayfield Family Collection Michael Jacobi.

“The key to this breakfast experience are many options sourced from our incredible local suppliers in Cork and throughout Munster as we aim to showcase the finest in local produce combined with a luxurious breakfast experience,” he added.

For any locals intrigued to try this award winning breakfast, non-residents can make a reservation and enjoy the spread for €27 per person.

Breakfast is served in the Orchids Restaurant midweek from 7am to 10.30am.
