An NFL officiating crew needs to face strict punishment after another poor showing on Sunday.

The officiating crew from last week’s Chiefs at Packers game made several questionable calls, including a wild missed pass interference penalty late in the fourth quarter.

That officiating crew was on the call of the Jets vs. Texans game on Sunday afternoon. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that the league was going to be watching with a close eye.

“Allen’s crew will be under increased scrutiny when they officiate Sunday’s game at MetLife Stadium between the Texans and Jets. Many, including the NFL, will be watching to see if there’s another decision by Allen’s crew that draws the ire of teams the way it did the past two weeks,” he reported.

The crew did not escape Sunday afternoon’s Jets vs. Texans game without controversy.

Somehow, the officiating crew missed a clear roughing the passer penalty on Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud.

Stroud was injured on this late hit, which wasn’t called by the officiating crew.

Stroud was ruled out for the game, as he was evaluated for a possible concussion.

The NFL can’t afford to continue letting this officiating crew make mistakes in big games.
