Samsung has introduced its rugged XCover series of smartphones with the launch of the Galaxy XCover7 in India, which will be available exclusively for enterprises. The latest rugged smartphone from Samsung offers military-grade durability, 5G connectivity, and the latest software experience.

The highlight of the Samsung Galaxy XCover7 is its military-grade durability (MIL-STD-810H) certification, where, the body is made using materials like rubbed to enhance shock absorption, and the display is protected by a fortified glass. The device is also IP68 rated for water and dust resistance, and the smartphone can also withstand drops up to 1.5 metres.

The Samsung Galaxy XCover7 is powered by an octa-core processor with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB of internal storage with a microSD card slot which can accept memory cards with up to 1 TB capacity. The smartphone has a 6.6-inch FHD+ resolution screen with a 60Hz refresh rate with support for enhanced touch sensitivity, where, the display can even register touch input from a leather glove.

The phone includes a 50 MP primary camera, a 5 MP selfie camera, and the device is fueled by a 4,500 mAh user-removable battery with a USB-C port and pogo pins to connect an external battery pack for charging. The device has a physical SIM card slot and also supports eSIM, and it comes with Samsung Knox Vault security features.

The Samsung Galaxy XCover7 will be available in two variants with the standard variant priced at Rs 27208 and the enterprise model retails for Rs 27530. Corporates and institutional users can buy the handset from Samsung India’s official website.
