Police visit Tejashwi Yadav’s residence ahead Bihar floor test; RJD supporters protest

A day before the crucial floor test of Nitish Kumar-led NDA government in Bihar, police on Sunday night visited former deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav’s residence in Patna where RJD and Left MLAs have been camping.

Patna SSP, and other senior officials arrived at Yadav’s house and left soon after. The brief visit came after family members of one of the RJD MLAs reportedly told police that he has been kidnapped.

However, the police didn’t make any official statement about the visit and the SSP chose to evade the questions of media persons.

Hundreds of RJD supporters also gathered outside his residence and shouted slogans against the police and CM Nitish Kumar.

Meanwhile, the police presence outside Tejashwi Yadav’s Patna house has been increased ahead being increased ahead of the floor test tomorrow (February 12).

While both, the JD-U and the BJP have expressed confidence of proving majority in the House, the absence of a few JD-U MLAs from a key party meeting have triggered speculations.

According to reports, at least six NDA MLAs are untraceable ahead of the crucial trust vote. While Nitish Kumar’s JDU claims they are in touch with all the MLAs, the Congress has made a big claim that “Mahagathbandhan” government will be formed in Bihar.

Congress MLA Santosh Mishra, who arrived in Patna from Hyderabad earlier today, claimed that nine JDU MLAs and four BJP MLAs are not in state capital.

Last month, when Nitish Kumar ditched the RJD-led ‘Mahagathbandhan’ and joined hands with the BJP, Yadav had said that the game is not yet over and hinted at last minute turnaround.
