According to the Mental State of the World Report, it ranks South Africa as one of the most miserable countries in the world.

The report revealed that South Africans are the third most unhappiest nation in the world.

South Africa got a mental health quotient score of 50 out of 100.

BREAKING: Nkosindiphile Xhakaza is the new City of Ekurhuleni mayor

The City of Ekurhuleni has elected African National Congress (ANC) councillor Nkosindiphile Doctor Xhakaza as its mayor.

Xhakaza was elected on Thursday, 11 April.

Council convened on Thursday to elect a new mayor after the African Independent Congress ousted Sovuyile Ngodwana in an ActionSA-sponsored no-confidence motion.

Ramokgopa: Load-shedding intensity decreasing

Electricity Minister Kgosientsho Ramokgopa shared that the intensity of load-shedding is declining.

He addressed the media on Tuesday to update the progress of implementing the energy saving system.

Ramokgopa stated that the plan maintenance and Eskom management are responsible for the reduced load-shedding in the country.

Students at Amajuba TVET College in Newcastle, KwaZulu-Natal, expressed their frustration over not receiving their funds from the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) by pelting Higher Education and Training Minister Blade Nzimande’s convoy with stones as he arrived at the college.

Angry students stoned Minister Blade Nzimande’s convoy, alleging that he corruptly benefited from the NSFAS funds.
