alleged oku couple attacks motorcyclists who overtake them on penang bridge

Screen capture from the viral video that showed a couple attacking other motorists who attempted to overtake them.

SHAH ALAM – In an incident that occurred on the Second Penang Bridge, a couple, believed to be disabled (OKU), was captured on camera engaging in aggressive behaviour, targeting motorcyclists attempting to overtake them.

As the motorcycle rides on the emergency lane, the female passenger is seen intentionally attacking other riders who went past them.

Armed with a rope, the duo made several attempts to swing and kick at passing motorcyclists.

The video of the incident quickly circulated on social media platforms, with many alleging that both individuals possessed OKU cards.

A Facebook user named Maiden Khairil remarked on the video, stating, “Confirm they possess OKU cards, they will likely escape legal consequences.”

Another Facebook account, Bangchik Azrie also left a comment on the viral video, “OKU, or they have hearing issues.”

Adding to the narrative, one victim recounted the harrowing experience on Facebook, highlighting the danger posed by the couple’s actions.

Faizul Jojoe, the victim, expressed, “I got sand in my face. Luckily, I could endure it; otherwise, I would have kicked your bike.”

This alarming incident echoes a previous video where the same OKU couple was seen engaging in similar aggressive behaviour, with the wife seemingly brandishing a knife against approaching motorcyclists.

At the time of writing, authorities have yet to issue any statement on the incident.
