Ravindra Jadeja has issued a statement on Instagram, apologizing for the Sarfaraz Khan run-out during the Rajkot Test as he took the blame for the mix-up during day one.Â
Sarfaraz was batting on 62 when Jadeja looked to get the single to reach his 4th Test hundred. However, the all-rounder decided to send the debutant back to the non-striker’s end, but it was too late.Â
Mark Wood hit the stumps with a direct throw that ended Sarfaraz’ incredible knock in Rajkot. This would even leave India skipper Rohit Sharma fuming in the pavilion, as he threw his cap to the floor in anger.Â
Jadeja was also slammed by the fans on social media. The all-rounder has now issued a statement apologizing for the error in judgement that led to Sarfaraz’ run-out and even praised the debutant for his innings.Â
