Iowa guard Caitlin Clark (22) reacts after making a 3-point basket setting the record for all-time leading scoring during a NCAA Big Ten Conference women’s basketball game against Michigan, Thursday, Feb. 15, 2024, at Carver-Hawkeye Arena in Iowa City, Iowa.
There’s a new women’s hoops scoring record sheriff in town, and she goes by the name of Caitlin Clark. On Thursday, Clark broke Kelsey Plum’s NCAA scoring record in front of a sold-out crowd, and fans loved that she did it with a from-the-logo shot.
After Clark didn’t break the record against Nebraska just days ago, there has been so much anticipation for her to step into history books. On Thursday, fans didn’t have to wait any longer. Clark launched a sideline shot in the first quarter, and Carver-Hawkeye Arena came unglued. Caitlin — who asked not to make the moment a big deal — kept going as if nothing had happened.

By the end of the first quarter, Clark had 21 points (WILD STUFF — she was feeling it), but all fans could think of was her incredible shot. Here’s how fans reacted to her incredible historic milestone:
