Tony Hadley used to get pelted by chocolate chip cookies.
The former Spandau Ballet star, 63, quickly learned the lesson not to tell people you really like something because you will be inundated with gifts of the said thing after he let slip on television how much he loves the sugary sweet treat.
Asked what his guilty pleasure is, Tony told Heat magazine: ” A chocolate chip cookie. I once said on a TV show that they were my favourite biscuit and I started getting them thrown at me while I was on stage.”
The 'Gold' hitmaker also revealed that he used to be massively into Techno in his younger days.
He recalled: “Ku Club [the world's largest nightclub, now known as Privilege Ibiza] opened in 1979, I was there standing on a fountain, wearing a bandana, conducting all these people who were off their faces. We were actually the first UK pop band to perform there.”
These days, Tony's teenage daughter Zara – whom he has with wife Alison Evers, as well as 11-year-old Genevieve – has gotten him into pop acts such as Zara Larsson and Mabel, and he is especially impressed by indie star Sam Fender.
The singer – who also has Toni, 27, MacKenzie, 31, and Thomas, 34, with his first wife Leonie Lawson – said: “My daughter Zara, who's 16, is massively into music and has introduced me to artists like
Zara Larsson, Mabel and Sam Fender. Sam Fender is brilliant – you can really hear the Bruce Springsteen influence, and | love Springsteen.”
