A relationship guru has broken down the real reasons why your romantic prospects never seem to bloom into anything serious.

Niko Emanuilidis, 30, who goes by The Daddy Academy on TikTok, is know for his no-nonsense relationship advice and has gained thousands of followers across his social media accounts.

Among the latest issues tackled by the New York-based brand manager is why promising love connections always seem to peter out for some, whether spiraling into never-ending situation-ships or failing before things even get started.

Niko cited two specific causes – falling for the ‘wrong genre’ of guy or a ‘limiting belief’ that translates to a lack of confidence.

He boiled the issue down to two main underlying causes – being attracted to the ‘wrong genre’ of guy and holding a ‘limiting belief’ about yourself

‘If you keep getting put in situation-ships and just feel like the relationships with guys aren’t working out, there could be two things going on here’, he began.

‘One, is you are probably attracted to the wrong genre of guy,’ he continued.

‘We all have a genre or a pattern that we tend to follow. Okay? Humans like familiarity. So we tend to subconsciously seek out things in situations that are similar to each other.

‘So all these guys that you’re dating, it might not be something obvious, like they’re all tall or they’re all in finance.

‘But there’s something about the way they’re treating you and your relationship with them that is similar.

‘It’s a pattern, you need to define that pattern, and find the opposite of it,’ Niko emphasized.

As for the second thing, Niko explained the concept of a ‘limiting belief’ that chips away at your ‘self worth,’ thereby holding you back.

‘The second thing is you might have a limiting belief. I always say this: Your self worth and what you perceive to be true in your reality, ends up being your reality,’ he explained.

‘If you’re always saying relationships don’t work out for me, nothing works out for me, hey, guess what, things aren’t going to work out for you.

‘So to flip this, you have to start thinking about the things that you’re grateful for in your life, okay?

‘And change your viewpoint of how you view yourself and yourself in the world, essentially.

‘Get up in the morning, look in the mirror and start saying those positive affirmations for yourself: “I am beautiful and worthy of so much love.”

‘Get used to having these positive conversations with yourself,’ he continued.

‘What you focus on is your reality so it’s important if you want to change something that seems to be a pattern, this negative pattern, it’s time to pull back our focus, go bird’s eye view and focus on an outcome that we actually want to happen.

‘Start living in that energy frequency, and eventually we’re gonna start attracting it,’ Niko concluded.

‘Frequency is everything. You attract what you are,’ one top-voted comment agreed.
