Fitness and bodybuilding coach Guy Del Corso has passed away, as confirmed by his family through a heartfelt statement shared on his Instagram handle.

“We’re saddened to announce our father Guy has passed away peacefully today around 7 am. He was loved by all who knew him and will be missed terribly. It’s hard to believe this is real. Thank you guys for praying so hard. You guys know my dad would love that! Please know he loved each and every one of you. He truly did. It’s amazing to know there are so many great people out there. We are so thankful for everyone. We will keep everyone up to date on arrangements. We do ask you to keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we continue to grieve this loss. The greatest Guy we’ll ever know,” the statement said.

Delcorso, who served as a northeast regional NPC judge and contest prep coach, had suffered a stroke earlier this month. His family had shared updates on his condition, expressing gratitude for the support and prayers received from well-wishers.

On Feb.3, the family had said, “As most of you already know, our dad, Guy, had a stroke on Monday morning. It has affected his ability to talk and move the right side of his body. He has little movement on his left side and we are praying for his ability to swallow. We will update as we progress. Thank you so much for all of your kind messages and abundant prayers. We are sorry if we haven’t been able to respond to some of you, but know we read each and every one and are beyond thank ful for all of you? ? just PLEASE keep the prayers coming- we need as many as we can get and if you know our dad, you know that prayer is number one in his life.”

Following the news of his passing, tributes poured in on social media platforms.

“RIP Coach Guy Delcorso.. wonderful man with an amazing heart,” one person wrote.
