Over the past several weeks, the Florida State Seminoles, the Florida Gators and the Tennessee Volunteers have all been hit with an NCAA investigation into alleged recruiting violations stemming from name, image, and likeness rules. And it sounds like the NCAA might not be stopping there.

As college football reporter Trey Wallace of Outkick reported on Wednesday, these investigations against the three schools is “just the beginning” and more investigations at other schools are expected to “ramp up further in time.”

“According to multiple sources, Florida State, Tennessee and Florida are just the beginning of the NCAA investigating and presenting allegations to schools. This is about to ramp up further in time. I wouldn’t talk trash about opposing schools just yet,”

Wallace says that one source told him that “the NCAA has been on a fact-finding mission over the past two years.”

This all comes after the NCAA changed their rules regarding their name, image, and likeness policy, allowing college athletes to profit from their NIL with endorsement deals for the first time. However, schools are not supposed to use NIL to induce commitments or facilitate the NIL deals themselves.

It will certainly be interesting to see how this situation plays out.
