Según el pronóstico del tiempo esta semana debería comenzar un nuevo episodio de lluvia en Santiago tras un extenso periodo de calor.

En concreto, y junto a una baja en las temperaturas, se esperan chubascos débiles en la capital durante este día sábado y domingo.

Sin ser parte de un sistema frontal, y con intervalos nubosos de por medio, todo formaría parte de un evento de baja segregada, según comentó el meteorólogo Eduardo Sáez a Ciudadano ADN.

Siendo así, los primeros efectos incluso podrían comenzar desde finales de la jornada del viernes con presencia de agua en la zona cordillerana de la región Metropolitana.

¿Cuántos milímetros de lluvia podrían caer durante abril en Santiago?

Si las precipitaciones llegan al centro norte del país, en Santiago no deberían caer más de 17,5 milímetros de agua durante todo el mes abril.

Dicha situación climática fue actualizada recientemente por el sitio especializado Meteored en base al modelo de referencia ECMWF.

Acorde al desglose en la zona central y sur de Chile las condiciones de agua serán normales e incluso podrían ir por debajo de lo habitual.

¿Y en qué parte del país lloverá en mayor cantidad? Acorde al portal la caída más abundante sería entre los Lagos y Magallanes.

Las temperaturas durante abril y la llegada de La Niña

En cuanto a las temperaturas existirían importantes diferencias entre el norte y el sur de Chile. En lugares de precordillera y valle de la RM, Antofagasta, Atacama, Coquimbo y Valparaíso seguirían siendo altas debido a dorsales cálidas y vaguadas costeras.

Un panorama opuesto se viviría en puntos del extremo sur donde el termómetro debería descender notablemente.

Por otro lado, durante los meses siguientes también se presentaría el fenómeno climatológico de La Niña, donde las precipitaciones prácticamente se extinguirían e incluso existiría la posibilidad de períodos de sequías y heladas.

Según lo que se maneja hasta ahora el evento llegaría durante la época invernal y específicamente en el trimestre junio-agosto con un 62% de posibilidades.
