Jon Bon Jovi CONFIRMS he will perform at son Jake Bongiovi's wedding to Millie Bobby Brown as he hits red carpet before being honored at the 2024 MusiCares Person of the Year gala

Jon Bon Jovi has confirmed he will be performing at son Jake Bongiovi’s upcoming wedding to Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown.

The rocker, 61, told DailyMail.com exclusively he intends to hit the stage at his son’s wedding.

When asked on the red carpet of the 2024 MusiCares Person of the Year gala if he would be performing at the nuptials, he told DailyMail.com: ‘Yes!’

Jon is MusiCare’s 2024 Person of the Year, an honor previously bestowed to the likes of Joni Mitchell, Aerosmith, Dolly Parton, and more.

‘In addition to his extensive musical achievements, Jon Bon Jovi is recognized for his impactful philanthropic work,’ his Person of the Year announcement read last year.

‘I’m truly humbled to be this year’s MusiCares honoree,’ the rocker said in a statement at the time.

‘MusiCares’ work with music professionals is vitally important in creating much-needed support and wellness programs that cultivate a healthier and more vibrant community for us all. Philanthropic work has been a cornerstone of my life and has always run in tandem to my music career and achievements.’

Millie, 19, announced in April that she is engaged to 21-year-old Jake – the son of rock star Jon Bon Jovi and his wife Dorothea Hurley – after two years of dating.

Recently she revealed her fiance is ‘very involved’ in their wedding plans, making it a stress-free affair for her.

While Millie has yet to confirm whether a date has been set for the ‘intimate’ ceremony, she spilled on the Today show back in September that the couple are very much sharing the planning.

Joining Jenna Bush Hager, 42, and Hoda Kotb, 59, to promote her new book, Nineteen Steps, she said: ‘It’s not been stressful at all for me.

‘Jake is very involved, he is very helpful during the whole process. I have never felt alone in it, which I think is nice.

‘I am like, “Is this a good idea?” But ultimately it’s a very intimate day for the both of us and we are excited.’

Host Hoda was desperate to know whether Livin’ On A Prayer hitmaker Jon Bon Jovi, 61, would be performing on the big day.

The Stranger Things actress, 19, who has been with her other half for more than two years, announced her engagement in April

‘I feel like that’s like asking me to do a full-on play for everyone,’ Millie responded, before adding: ‘I think the man needs a break, he doesn’t stop. He’s always doing tennis or singing lessons.’

‘He can just be the father of the groom!’ Jenna quipped.

‘Exactly,’ Millie agreed. ‘That would be wild… I don’t know if he’ll be able to do just that.’

This isn’t the first time that Millie has expressed her excitement over her big day.

Speaking with Women’s Wear Daily in August, the star touched on her preference to keep the nuptials low-key.

The young couple met on Instagram and began dating in 2021, with Millie saying she knew instantly that Jake was ‘the one’

‘I can say that the planning is going,’ she told the publication. ‘It’s so fun. And it’s such an exciting time in my life.’

‘To have everyone’s opinions and eyes looking at that just feels unnatural to me,’ she said about wedding planning.

‘So I feel it’s important to keep those things — those small precious moments in life — really close to your chest.’

Millie and Jake announced their engagement on Instagram last year after two years of dating.

In August, she told the Sunday Times that he proposed with a ring belonging to her mother, Kelly.

‘I’ve always loved that ring, it’s always stuck out to me, so she gave it to Jake,’ Millie said.

‘They were in cahoots about the whole proposal. I love that I can always keep a piece of my mum with me.’

The couple met on Instagram and began dating in 2021, with Millie saying she knew instantly that Jake was ‘the one.’

She said: ‘I was interested in him and wanted to know more. As soon as we spoke I knew he was going to be a huge part of my life.

‘I ran to my mum and said, “I really, really like him!” After we met we knew we never wanted to leave each other’s side.’

She continued: ‘You can’t pinpoint why, it’s just the feeling of knowing that that’s the person you want to spend the rest of your time with.

‘I think so much of life is overthinking. The one thing that made clear sense to me was him. So I didn’t really have to do much thinking.’

Millie shot to fame as Eleven in hit Netflix series Stranger Things before landing roles in the Enola Holmes and Godzilla franchises.

She also founded her own skincare and beauty line, Florence by Mills.
