Dwight Yorke backs Premier League manager to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd

Dwight Yorke has backed a Premier League manager to turn things around at Manchester United as Erik ten Hag fights for his job at Old Trafford.
United could record their lowest-ever Premier League finish as they sit eighth ahead of the final day of the season.
Ten Hag’s side have won less than half of their league games this season and suffered a disappointing group-stage exit in the Champions League.
Winning the FA Cup next week would improve the mood around Old Trafford but it remains to be seen whether that would be enough to save Ten Hag his job.
United have already been looking at possible replacements for Ten Hag, with England boss Gareth Southgate and Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel figures of interest to the Manchester giants.
But Yorke believes current Premier League boss Unai Emery could be the man to turn things around at Manchester United following his success with Aston Villa.
Under the Spaniard, who had a disappointing spell at Arsenal before returning to the English top-flight in October 2022, Villa have finished fourth in the Premier League, qualifying for the Champions League for the first time.

‘Aston Villa have had a fantastic season,’ former Villa and United striker Yorke told Fastest Payout Online Casino.
‘Unai Emery is a brilliant manager with a lot of experience and has done a remarkable job in getting Villa to that position in the top four.
‘I played for Villa for ten years and they see themselves in the top six of the Premier League in terms of history, so to be back in the Champions League is where they are supposed to be.
‘I think he’s deserved a lot of plaudits and maybe the likes of Manchester United can look at him as a future manager for them.
‘He has all the ingredients and has been very impressive this season. If he’s able to get Aston Villa into the top four, then imagine what he would be able to do with Manchester United!’
Yorke, who won three Premier League titles and the Champions League at Old Trafford, has been underwhelmed by United’s form under Ten Hag and says the team ‘lacks structure and identity’.
‘People aren’t blind,’ the 52-year-old added. ‘There seems to be a lack of structure and identity with what they’re trying to do on the pitch.
‘Every time you turn on the TV, you’re not sure what you’re going to see – you often see some good stuff, but you sometimes see some really ugly stuff in between.

‘There seems to be no gap in between really good and really bad, which is something you can’t have in a team that is struggling.
‘They look really lacklustre in the way they play – you have to make sure people know exactly what their specific role is, but I just don’t see that.
‘There are games where you think that the players aren’t listening to what the manager is saying – everybody is just doing their own thing.’
Manchester United visit Brighton on the final day of the season before preparing for next weekend’s FA Cup final against Manchester City.
