Arkansas MMA fighter who doesn't believe in gravity reveals plans to homeschool toddler son to stop him becoming gay

Bryce Mitchell, 29, ranted about homosexuality in a recent Instagram video The no.12 ranked UFC fighter said he plans to educate his infant son himself  Mitchell previously invited mockery as he revealed he doesn't believe in gravity

A UFC star revealed his plans to homeschool his toddler to 'stop him becoming gay' in a rambling anti-vaccine rant.

Bryce Mitchell, 29, the no.12 ranked featherweight fighter in the world, sat shirtless with his son Tucker on his lap as he spoke out about his beliefs on Instagram.

'We’re gonna have to homeschool all our kids or they’re going to end up turning gay,' he began in the video, which invited mockery from viewers.

'I don’t want him to be a communist, I don’t want him to worship Satan, and I don’t want him to be gay.'

Mitchell didn't explain further, although he may have been referring to lessons on LGBT pride in schools and teachers' keeping changes to students' gender identity secret from parents, which has caused controversy in recent years.

Mitchell has raised eyebrows with a number of remarks throughout his fighting career, including in 2022 when he challenged podcaster and UFC commentator Joe Rogan to a debate over whether the earth was flat, where he also revealed that he doesn't believe in gravity.

In his most recent video, Mitchell told his near-half-a-million followers that he planned to educate his son himself because of his views on homosexuals and his belief that vaccines cause autism.

'I want to encourage ya’ll not to vaccinate your children because I think it’s bad for their health,' he began the video.

'It could potentially kill them. Give them some type of, um, make them autistic. Seriously, these vaccines are poisonous. Don’t vaccinate your kids.'

Pointing to his son, the fighter said he is keeping him out of school as he claims this will stop him becoming gay, a communist or a satanist, which he linked to a lack of religious teachings in education.

'Out of the public schools, they took the most valuable book of all time. The number one selling book of all time. The oldest, most accurate historical document there ever was — the bible.

'They took it out of the schools and replaced it with Edgar Allen Poe who shacked up with his cousin. My son ain’t gonna be reading no Edgar Allen Poe.

'He’s going to be reading the bible. That’s just how it is and I’m just telling you, if you don’t teach your kid these things, it’s gonna be fed right to the devil. We’re not gonna let that happen here.'

Mitchell's Instagram video drew mockery from some viewers, with one commenting: 'I wouldn’t be worried about someone twisting your words when they’re already so incomprehensible.'

'Wow! As Christian, it makes me sad that you are so ignorant! I will pray for you,' said another.

A third chimed in: 'I'm literally watching the dumbest, most uninformed person on the planet.'

Mitchell has competed in the UFC since 2018, picking up over a dozen victories while sparking controversy with some of his views.

Among those Mitchell has confronted in this time includes podcaster and UFC commentator Joe Rogan, who he challenged to a debate in 2022 as he accused Rogan of 'talking cr**' about him and his mother.

The clash appeared to come over their differing views about the shape of the earth, as Mitchell said: 'Me and my mama will tell you right now the Earth is flat!'

'It ain't moving around at no 600-something miles-per-hour, spinning at no thousand-miles-an-hour and floating through the universe constantly, ok?' he added.

'This earth is flat, it's fixed and the stars and stuff rotate around us. The sun rotates around us, and I can prove that... They're trying to feed you these lies to make you think that science is right.'

The fighter particularly drew attention during the video as he claimed that not only is the earth flat, but that gravity 'ain't real.'

'It's density. This paper, when it drops it's because it's more dense than the world around it, not because of some magical thing called gravity.

'There is no proof of gravity, brother, there's only proof of density, that's why hot air balloons float, because hot air is less dense.'
