A young Australian woman who sleeps with married men has revealed why she doesn't feel guilty or consider it 'cheating'.

Katija Cortez, from Sydney, finds dating difficult and says she's wealthier and more successful than most men she meets.

The 28-year-old accountant-turned-escort told FEMAIL it's 'hard to say' how many married men she's been intimate with over the last three years as it's deemed 'unprofessional' and a 'mood killer' to discuss relationships with clients.

However, in her experience, most married men speak highly of their wives and often don't consider paid sex as cheating.

'I would say about 50 per cent of my clients are married or in relationships. It's hard to say for sure though, because I'm sure a lot are in relationships that just don't bring it up. Other girls have told me that almost all of their clients are married,' Katija said.

'Denying a service to someone based on their relationship status would be considered discrimination in any other industry.

'I don't think I've ever had a client who is married that has ever spoken badly about their wife. The only ones who do ever show frustration with their partners are the ones going through messy divorces, but even then most of the time they will still speak very politely about their partner.'

Katija, who was once an accountant at one of the big four Sydney firms, said men who are dissatisfied with their sex life at home seek out escorts because it's 'easier and more discreet than having an affair'.

She claimed affairs come with baggage and feelings, whereas in her industry it's purely physical.

'I don't like to call it cheating when a married man sees me, because there aren't any romantic feelings involved. They come to me because they want to laugh, be held, and be pleasured,' she said.

'I actually find it quite moving when clients speak lovingly of their partners. The reason they are seeing me doesn't have anything to do with them not loving their wives and family,' she said.

'All [some men] want from me is intimacy, to be held, hugged, kissed, embraced. It's actually been surprising to me how many men want these intimate things that are often thought of as things that only women want.

'I think a lot of women don't realise that most men are just as sensitive and vulnerable as we are, and they crave intimacy too.'

Another reason married men might turn to an escort is because their marriage is on the rocks or they're going through a divorce.

'Or sometimes they just don't like each other much anymore and are described to me as more 'roommates' rather than husband and wife but will stay together for family reasons,' Katija said.

She also has a message to the partners of her married clients.

'Wives need to understand that us sex workers are not going out stalking married men and dragging them into our hotel rooms. Married men seek us out willingly. We are not the problem,' she said.

'The problems always start in the home. I don't encourage cheating but I also don't believe in monogamy either, because I have seen time and time again that truly faithful relationships are rare.'

She claimed male escorts also have clients who are married women who 'cite the same issues' of dissatisfaction about their sex lives with their husbands.
